Physics laboratory is updated with calibrated equipments for inquisitive students who are willing to create new collective knowledge & foster the next generation of scientific leaders. The Physics lab is designed as per International standards and is well equipped with all sophisticated, modern & advanced instruments for conducting various important experiments in Physics. Major experiments in lab course are related with optics & advanced area in Physics such as Fibre Optics, Ultrasound, LASER, Semiconductors and Modern Physics. List of Major equipments include Hall effect setup, Ultrasonic interferometer for liquids and solids, BH curve tracer unit, Band gap energy kit (DFP 03 model), Fiber optic communication link kit, Diffraction of LASER, Digital storage oscilloscope, Spectrometer, Optical bench.
The Botany Laboratory is quite a well equipped laboratory for undergraduate course. Basic and advanced facilities are available. Centrifuge, Microscope both Compound & Simple, Camera lucida, Occular micro-meter, Stage micrometer, Overhead projector, Incubator, Microtome for tissue section, Digital photo-electric Colorimeter, Pointer eye piece, Analytical balance, Single pan balance, Digital pan balance, Refrigerator, etc.
Chemistry laboratory is a place where students either are extremely playful or very scared of using chemicals. The College has state-of-the-art Chemistry lab that lets you sat it your curiosity by moving the students in the correct direction. The equipments are all calibrated for zero error. The lab is created to be fire resistant and handle any kind of mishap. The heights and widths of the furniture are all created keeping in mind the Indian physique of students. All the drawers and cupboards doors are made for soft closing. The windows & environmental friendly lighting are especially designed keeping in mind visibility. The Chemistry laboratory is well equipped with modern and advanced instruments for conducting various experiments in Chemistry subject. The main equipments in lab include Conductivity Bridge, Redwood Viscometer, Flash Point apparatus, pH meter, Colorimeter etc. To make the students aware of the hazards of chemicals in the lab, safety precautions to be taken while working are introduced to the students during the first lab session. The lab provides an environment which encourages an inquisitive mind, investigate approach & this helps students in developing competence & confidence.
The college has a spacious Zoology laboratory to conduct practicals in basic Zoology. Moreover, the laboratory has all the necessary infrastructure and equipments to conduct practicals. In addition to the laboratory, there is a well stock having more than 100 invertebrate and vertebrate specimens.
It is a unique place, with relevant and up-to-date equipment known as instructional materials, designated for the teaching and learning of mathematics and other scientific or research work, whereby professionally qualified lecturer readily interact with the student teachers on specified set of instructions. It provides an approach to teaching and learning of mathematics which provides opportunity to the learners to abstract mathematical ideas through their own experiences, that is to relate symbol to realities.
Geography Laboratory is equipped with all apparatus and instruments. Students get a first-hand experience of the instruments and methods to conduct activities like field surveys. Geography laboratory is equipped with modern sophisticated geographical equipments. Maps, models, globes etc are provided to the students for their practicals. The geographical equipments available are Laminating Map, Globe (Big, Small), Light Tracing Table, Hygrometer, Max & Min Thermometer, Flexible Curve, Rain Gauge Apparatus, Compass, 3D Map, Divider, Round Protector, Sets Square, Graph Paper, Tracing Paper, Map Book, Barometer, Drawing Table etc.
Yoga and Science of Living is an innovative program in behavioral and therapeutic application of yoga and naturopathy along with value education through the synthesis of spirituality and science. The lab imparts practical knowledge of Science of Living (Jeevan Vigyan), Preksha Meditation, Yoga, Naturopathy and Applied Psychology. Through the knowledge of these elements one can achieve physical fitness, mental equilibrium and spiritual bliss along with the skill to treat human subjects suffering from various psychosomatic disorders. Preksha Meditation has been included in the curriculum as a new dimension of therapy, which help in promoting the physical, mental and emotional health for the integrated development of the personality.
Home science education, is a dynamic field of education for a better living. It explores the possibility of the establishment of the perfections in the social orders starting from the home life to the community level. Cooking, vegetable carving, sand work etc are included as parts of Home Science. We have a well equipped, well ventilated & well lit Home Science lab which can accommodate 30 students at a time. The lab has all necessary kitchen utensils & appliances. There is a separate craft room which helps the students to add colour to their lives through their consummate artistry. The experience in the lab gives the learners an opportunity to get acquainted with hands on knowledge and skills. The students find Home Science lab a dedicated place to enjoy cooking etc. and learn the scientific procedures in making a home aesthetic, how to become more organized and sharing the household responsibilities managing available resources.
Painting & Drawing fuses traditional expertise & technique with cutting-edge contemporary approach to art making. Drawing incorporates a wide array of materials & explores gesture, mark making, the construction of visual space, as well as symbol and storytelling. In Painting Lab, students explore colour use, paint application, tools and techniques along with the formal language of painting and its use in abstract & figurative models.
Music lab of the college has various instruments for student like dhol, tabla, sarangi, drum, banjo, veena, electric guitar etc. Students can perform and learn musical interest in their better approach.
The computer student ratio is 1:1. All machines are networked with the required software and linked with 10 MBPS high speed Internet Connectivity. The whole campus has a wi-fi facility. All computers are equipped with anti – virus software’s to protect them from hacking, intrusion and viruses.
These labs comprise of 120 Desktop PCs with TFT screen and Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz Processor, 300 GB HDDs and Linux Operating System installed on workstations. These labs are also equipped with a silde projector.
These labs have 60 Desktop PCs with TFT screen and Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz Processor with 2 GB of RAM and 250 GB HDDs and Linux Operating System installed on workstations. These labs are having a facility of laser printer and scanner.
These labs have 300 Desktop PCs with TFT screen and Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz Processor with 4 GB of RAM and 1 TB HDDs and Linux Operating System installed on workstations. These labs have also online connectivity. There are a number of software viz. Windows Server 2003/2000, Windows XP, SQL Server 2005/2000, MS Office XP, Turbo C++, Auto CAD, Pro-E, Visual Studio 2008/2005/2002, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia products, UNIX (SCO), Oracle etc.
SAVJGC has wireless access to Internet and Intranet 24X7 at everywhere in college. Wi-Fi access has been provided with the help of state-of-the-art equipments and data flow protection and packet filtration has been done through world recognized leading firewalls such as from Microsoft, CISCO etc.
